Hernán Cabrera Cáceres studied at the Universidad Finis Terrae, and received his law degree in 2016. In addition, he is Public Accountant and Auditor Accountant of the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, where he received his degree in 1988 and 1989 respectively. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Legislation from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, which he completed in 1994, and a Master in Business Administration, awarded by ILADES - Loyola College Maryland, which he held in 2001. Hernán was between 1988 and 1989 accounting chief of the company Sanhueza and Vargas Contadores Asociados, and then dedicated to the provision of accounting services. From 1990 to 1991, he was Tax Supervisor at Chau Tapia and Ortega Contadores
y Auditores Ltda. Later, between 1992 and 2003, he was manager of the Tax and Legal Division of Ernst & Young Chile, and later became Manager of Finance and Management at Modular Mining Systems Ltda. Prior to joining Santander Valdés, between 2004 and 2016, he was partner in the law firm Santander, Hales y Cabrera. In terms of teaching activities, he has been a permanent rapporteur for more than 10 years of the Chilean Institute of Rational Business Administration, ICARE, and his specialization program "Legislation and tax practices". He has also been professor of undergraduate and postgraduate studies for more than 25 years in different Universities. His practice focuses on Audit, Tax advice and Tax litigation.
