Felipe Valdés Correa obtained his Law degree from Universidad de los Andes, graduating as an Attorney in 2003. He subsequently pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, between 2006 and 2007. In 2009, he completed a postgraduate diploma in Corporate Taxation at Universidad de los Andes. Additionally, he holds a Master’s Degree in Tax Management and Administration from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, earned between 2014 and 2015.
From 2002 to 2006, he served as an Associate Attorney at the law firm Chadwick y Aldunate. Prior to joining Santander Valdés, he worked at the law firm Estudio Guzmán from 2007 to 2016.
Currently, he advises individuals and corporate clients on tax and corporate matters, with a strong focus on tax optimization, corporate reorganization, family wealth restructuring and governance, tax consulting, tax litigation, audits and administrative proceedings before the Chilean Internal Revenue Service, international taxation, inheritance and gift tax matters, proceedings before the Chilean Treasury Department and municipal authorities, as well as mergers and acquisitions and general corporate affairs.
He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association and serves as a Reserve Officer in the Chilean Navy.
